Fabric covered box tray DIY kit, fabric box kit, cartonnage kit 140, online instructions included

Cartonnage is an amazing technique. You can make your own boxes, cases and much more out of cardboard, fabric and glue using Cartonnage!! And your pieces will be sturdy as wood, but made with your favorite fabric! They are great handmade gifts.

This DIY cartonnage Kit comes with all cardboard you need to make your own cartonnage tray, as shown in the pictures. The pieces of paper (chipboard and poster board) are precut in the right sizes you need for this project. The finished tray will be 7.5" x 7.5" x 3.5" inches. You can make it special for Christmas or other seasons, or just use your favorite fabric, it is up to you! No worries about cutting paper! Fabric not included.

ONLINE INSTRUCTIONS AVAILABLE! The instruction is a very clear PDF tutorial (written) with 191 pictures showing in details step by step to guide you through the whole process (it is not video, it's written instructions), no steps missing, no guessing! Inside the kit you will find the password and easy directions to download the instruction to your computer.

For making this tray you will need this kit, the instruction, two coordinating fabrics (1 fat quarter each), white PVA glue (Glue All - Elmer's), rotary cutter, cutting board, a small paint roller with tray, paint brush and masking tape.

Cartonnage tools (spatula, acrylic spacers and corner tool) will facilitate the process and give a better finishing for your project. Find them in the tools section of the shop.

Tray Kit

I made both the trays, gave one as a Christmas gift. Erica put the wrapped candy in it. Thanked me for it as well.

Tray or basket

I made several of these after my Dad passed away. I put pictures of his truck on fabric and used that to cover it. I gave them out to much loved family to remember my dearest Dad.
