Making sturdy and functional fabric projects using cartonnage technique is lots of fun.
This DIY cartonnage Kit comes with all pre cut paper (chipboard, poster board and kraft paper) you need to make your own notepad cover, as shown in the pictures. The finished cover closed is 12 “ x 9”, and it contains the legal pad and magnets to make your magnet bar to hold your notes, papers or planner pages. No worries about cutting paper! Fabric and other contents showed in pictures are not included.
Inside the kit you will find the directions to go to the website and watch the complete video tutorial.
For making the project you will need this kit, two coordinating fabrics (1/2 yard each - you will have leftover), Glue All (Elmer's), rotary cutter, cutting mat, a small paint roller with tray, paint brush, masking tape, super glue.
Cartonnage tools (spatula, acrylic spacers and corner tool) will facilitate the process and give a better finishing for your project. Find them in the tools section of the shop.
I received the notepad cover and it was missing the magnets. I sent an email just after receiving my kit but still have not heard. I know there is alot of changes going on but please let me know a status.
It is so much easier to use the precut forms that Colorway Arts has. I have tried to do the cutting myself and can't accomplish the accuracy that the kits provide. I believe the cost to be pretty close after driving all over to find the correct materials
I was pleasantly surprised about how fast I received my order. The items were packed well, and exactly what I expected. Thanks
The kit was nice, part of it was missing. I figured out what to substitute and continued on. If there are on line instructions I could not find them, watched the UTube video many times , I would have like to be able to print off something I could refer to . I am new and learning so any help would be appreciated
