Making a fabric covered box it's so fun and the final boxes are unique handmade gifts! You can make your own fabric boxes, cases and much more out of paperboard, fabric and glue with this lovely cartonnage craft!! And your pieces will be sturdy as wood, but made with your favorite fabric! This fabric box is perfect and easy to apply your needlework, embroidery or a quilt block on the lid. Great way to personalize a handmade gift for a loved one! You will also have the option to make the lid only using a piece of fabric, or adding batting underneath or even using two fabrics with a unique detail as showed in pictures.

This DIY cartonnage Kit comes with all cardboard you need to make your own fabric lidded storage box, as shown in the pictures (needlework and quilt are not included). The pieces of chipboard and poster board are precut in the right sizes you need for this project. The finished box will be 8 3/4" x 7" x 3 1/2". With this DIY kit there is no worries about cutting paper. The chipboard used in this kit is 100 point (0.1 in) thick, extra heavy, so this box will be very sturdy and well finished! Fabric and other contents showed in pictures are not included.

The instruction is a very clear PDF written tutorial with 155 pictures showing in details step by step to guide you through the whole process, no steps missing, no guessing! Inside the kit you will find the password and easy directions to download the instruction to your computer.

To make the box you will need this kit, two coordinating fabrics (1/2 yard each), Elmer's Glue All, rotary cutter, cutting mat, a small paint roller with tray, paint brush, masking tape, scissors. Cartonnage tools (spatula, acrylic spacers and corner tool) are required to have better finishing of your project, and you can find them in the tools section of the shop.
