Fabric wallet diva frame, fabric cartonnage wallet, cartonnage kit 168, big fabric wallet - 7.5", online instructions included

Cartonnage is an amazing technique. Turning fabric, paper and glue into unique fabric boxes, cases, wallets it's so fun and it makes unique handmade gifts! This wallet is sturdy and stands up.

This DIY cartonnage Kit comes with all pre cut paper (paperboard, poster board and kraft paper) you need to make your own fabric wallet with diva frame, as shown in the pictures, and the frame IS included. Different colors of frame  available, please add your preference as a note on your order. We have brass and gunmetal. The finished wallet will be 7 1/2" x 5" x 1 1/4". There is space for at least 12 cards, plus cash, check book and coins. There is one zipper pocket that allows you to keep coins and other things in your wallet. Sewing IS required to make the pocket, but it is a very easy one to make. With this DIY kit there is no worries about cutting paper! Fabric and other contents showed in pictures are not included.

The instruction is a very clear written PDF tutorial with 48 pages, over 200 pictures showing in details step by step to guide you through the whole process (it is not video), no steps missing, no guessing! Inside the kit you will find the password and easy directions to download the instruction to your computer. 

For making the wallet you will need this kit, two coordinating fabrics (1/2 yard or 2 fat quarters each), PVA glue (Glue All - Elmer's), rotary cutter, cutting board, a small paint roller with tray, paint brush, masking tape, paper awl and scissors. To make the pocket you will need: sewing machine, thread, polyester zipper 9” (will be cut to size), Lite steam-a-seam 2 double stick fusible web (or another light fusible) (1 sheet 12” x 9”).

Cartonnage tools (spatula, acrylic spacers and corner tool) will facilitate the process and give a better finishing for your project. Find them in the tools section of the shop.

Fabric Wallet

I first made this wallet in an in-person class with Claudia. She was so patient with us and the finished product was just so beautiful I now want to make another one. Thanks, Claudia, for this extremely well-made kit and your detailed instructions. It was a challenge, but you made it achievable.
